I grew up listening to my dad read bedtime stories to me and my five siblings in funny accents (there were probably a couple cats, birds, hamsters, lizards, frogs, or fish listening in too.)  Now, I write stories inspired by the classic books he used to read—stories that give children the courage to face their dragons and remind them to look for the light, even if they have to fight to see it. When I’m not scribbling down stories, you can find me snuggling an opiniated cat, talking to my feisty parrot, playing my harp, or wandering outdoors looking for squirrels.
